WhiteBox Learning, based in Louisville, Kentucky, was founded in 2006 by Tom Robertson whose experience in knowledge-based engineering (KBE) helped drive the company’s success in engineering education. Each of the 10 STEM-related applications currently offered combine proprietary curriculum aligned to national and state standards with a state-of-the-art virtual and hands-on learning system giving students the ability to design, analyze, and simulate their models hundreds of times. Students then have the option to build a physical model to complete the learning experience.
